In 2020, energy entrepreneur André Jurres founded VoltH2. His goal: to develop plants for green hydrogen to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and thus contribute to the energy transition.
Today there are concrete plans for the construction of six plants, three in the Netherlands, three in Germany, together accounting for a production capacity of over 500 MW. For the plant in Delfzijl, an agreement was recently signed with the chemical group Evonik. The team now numbers more than thirty employees; the German division is also taking shape. VoltH2 is thus entering the next phase of its existence.
After five years at the helm, founder André Jurres is stepping down. He signed on for the pioneering years and guided the company through some difficult periods, the new CEO will work with the team to bring the company to maturity. André remains active in the energy sector and looks forward to realizing other ambitions in his career. On March 1, 2025, he will pass the torch to Arno Luisman, who in his year and a half as CFO has fully internalized VoltH2's operations and culture.
