At the end of 2019, the European Commission launched the Green Deal. It is a comprehensive roadmap with nearly 50 key points to make the European economy sustainable with the ultimate goal of climate neutrality by 2050.

The European Renewable Energy Directive (RED III) requires that by 2030, industry already deploys 42.5% renewable energy sources. Especially in energy-intensive sectors, such as the steel and chemical industries, green hydrogen becomes essential to achieve the required sustainability.

We are fully committed to this evolution by creating much-needed production capacity within Europe. Since our inception in 2020, we have developed concrete plans for production sites in Vlissingen, Terneuzen, Delfzijl (NL) and Gelsenkirchen (D). With these four sites in the Netherlands and Germany, today we have a portfolio with a potential production capacity of almost 200 MW.
