For the development of a green hydrogen plant in Essen, we are partnering with TÜV Nord Group. Our joint project will contribute to the development of electrolysers and refueling stations with green hydrogen in the Rhine-Ruhr region and is part of the German HyPerformer II program.

On a 5,000 square meter site in Essen-Frillendorf, we will produce green hydrogen starting in 2026. This will be a production plant consisting of five units with a combined capacity of around 10MW.

Together with Energy Engineers (EE), a division of TÜV Nord Group, we want to make this project as sustainable as possible. Therefore, not only has research been conducted on the pure production of hydrogen, but Energy Engineers has also analyzed how we can introduce the waste heat into the district heat grid (Iqony).

For off-take, we want to cooperate with a network of gas stations.
